Who is Eric Hill?
Eric Hill started the company after WW2, with a mission to sell the best quality clothes by mail order. He scoured Europe to find elegant, classic styles, that were comfortable to wear and easy to care for. When Eric Hill retired, his son-in-law ran the company for thirty years.
After an extensive search to find the right person to carry on the business, it was handed over to James Johnson-Ferguson in 2007. James is committed to maintaining Eric Hill's original vision of high quality, classic, comfortable clothes at competitive prices, and believes in old-fashioned values of high standards, honesty and above all that 'the customer is always right'.
What makes Eric Hill clothes different?
When you buy a garment from Eric Hill you can be absolutely sure that it is very well made, from a good quality fabric, with expert cutting and tailoring.
Although the clothes are smart and elegant they are all very comfortable to wear, and many styles have elasticated waists with no zips or buttons. Furthermore, most of the styles can be washed by machine or by hand, even ones which look as if they should be 'dry clean only'.
Most of the clothes are made in European countries with a reputation for quality and good design, such as Finland and Germany. We also have our own label, which is made exclusively for us to the highest standards and represents particularly good value.
Are your clothes guaranteed?
Yes. We want you to be completely satisfied at all times, so if you are ever disappointed - or even if you just change your mind - then return it to us and we'll give you a full refund or exchange, whichever you prefer.
How do I return my goods?
It's easy there is a free returns label at the bottom of the delivery note enclosed with your order. Simply send back your goods using the label (to 2a Langham Park, Catteshall Lane, Godalming, GU7 1NG, Surrey). We would suggest that you request a 'proof of posting' from the Post Office.
What are your delivery charges?
Delivery is £4.00 to a UK address. For the UK Mainland only we can dispatch it by courier for express next day (Monday to Friday) delivery at a cost of £9.95.
Can you deliver outside the UK mainland?
Yes, delivery costs £15.00 to anywhere in the world.
How long will my goods take to arrive?
We aim to dispatch your order the same day if ordered before 1pm, provided its in stock. If there is a particular urgency please confirm your requirements at the time of your order.
What is the Eric Hill Privacy Policy?
We keep your personal details strictly confidential at all times and we never pass them on to any third party.
We keep your details on file only so that we can contact you about Eric Hill and operate and improve the service we offer you.
Will my transaction be safe and secure?
You can order with confidence online, because we use a secure server and secure pages for your personal details including delivery address, billing address and credit card details.
